Every Second Counts

We save dogs from the euthanasia list and give them a second chance at life.

Minutes to Midnight Rescue and Sanctuary is being built to stand in the gap for dogs who are out of time, out of options, or simply overwhelmed by the shelter system.

This site is a preview of what is coming. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status is currently in process, and we will begin accepting donations as soon as it is approved and our EIN is active.

Our Vision for Minutes to Midnight

Minutes to Midnight Rescue and Sanctuary exists for the dogs who are running out of time — the ones on the euthanasia list, the injured and overlooked dogs, and those who have been dumped when they needed help most. Our long-term goal is a sanctuary space where these dogs can decompress, heal, and learn that people can be safe again.

Why These Dogs Need Us

Across the country, shelters and rural pounds are overwhelmed. When space runs out, dogs who are young, friendly, or fixable still end up on euthanasia lists simply because there is nowhere for them to go.

Dogs on Euthanasia Lists

Many dogs are given deadlines measured in hours. A simple move to a safe foster or sanctuary can be the difference between life and death.

Injured or Sick, but Treatable

Broken bones, infections, and minor medical needs are often considered "too much" for crowded shelters. Many of these conditions are fully treatable with basic veterinary care and time.

Dumped and Abandoned Dogs

Dogs are abandoned in fields, parking lots, or tied to shelter doors. They do not understand why their world changed overnight and need calm, patient care to recover emotionally.

What Future Support Will Help Create

Once our 501(c)(3) status and EIN are finalized, community support will allow Minutes to Midnight to move from planning into full operation.

Emergency Shelter Pulls

Funding will cover transport, temporary boarding, and essentials so we can say "yes" when a dog is days or hours from being euthanized.

Medical Care and Recovery

Resources will pay for vet exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and medications, giving injured and sick dogs a real chance to heal.

Foster and Sanctuary Spaces

Long term, our vision includes a sanctuary-style property with space to decompress, rehabilitate, and prepare each dog for their eventual forever home.

Dogs Who Remind Us Why This Matters

Here are a few examples of the kind of dogs Minutes to Midnight exists for: scared, overlooked, and at risk, but full of life once given a chance.

Oliver, a rescued dog

Oliver

Oliver arrived shut down and terrified after being abandoned. With calm handling, time to decompress, and consistent reassurance, he rediscovered toys, walks, and trusting people. He is now the kind of dog who greets you with a full-body tail wag.

Sebastian, a rescued dog

Sebastian

Sebastian was a young dog facing a quiet deadline at a crowded shelter. Out of the kennel environment, his goofy, affectionate personality appeared. He is a reminder that what looks like "behavior" in a shelter is often just stress and fear.

Gage, a rescued dog

Gage

Gage drooled too much for his previous owners. On top of that, he has hip displasia. He was considered too messy and expensive and was given up on. When money matters, we have to have people that will step in and save a life of a very good boy. Gage is now living his best life.

501(c)(3) Status in Progress

Minutes to Midnight Rescue and Sanctuary is in the process of completing federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit registration and obtaining an Employer Identification Number (EIN). Until that process is complete, we are not accepting donations. This page exists to share the vision, the need, and the work that is being built behind the scenes.

If you would like to follow our progress or be notified when we are able to accept tax-deductible donations, please reach out by email. Updates will be shared as soon as our nonprofit documentation is finalized.
